Obayashi has been selected again this year for the leading ESG (environmental, social, governance) investment (*1) indices: FTSE4Good Index Series and FTSE Blossom Japan Index.

 

In particular, the FTSE Blossom Japan Index is one of the four ESG indexes that the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), the world's largest pension funds, reference for its ESG investments.

 

We have also been selected as MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index, MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN), and the S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index.

FTSE Blossom Japan Index

Uses the evaluation scheme of the FTSE4Good Japan Index, one of the ESG Index FTSE Russell. It consists of Japanese companies that demonstrate strong ESG practices.

MSCI ESG Leaders Index

Published by the stock index provider MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International), the index selects companies from top 500 market capital that demonstrate strong ESG practice in their respective industries.

MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index

An ESG Composite Index based on ESG research from MSCI, which is used by more than 1,000 companies worldwide. It consists of Japanese stocks with relatively high ESG ratings in the industry.

MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN)

Comprised of Japanese companies that lead the industry in gender diversity initiatives while maintaining the ESG performance of MSCI.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

Selected by the S&P Dow Jones Index, one of the world's largest independent index companies, based on carbon emissions data provided by Trucost, a pioneer in environmental assessment. It focuses on the state of disclosure of environmental information and the level of carbon efficiency.
